Measurements of Steady Load on a T-Tail Flutter Model.
Abstract
The paper describes an experiment to measure steady lift loads on a T-tail flutter model. The method of test has been adapted from a technique used for measuring loads on aircraft in flight. A way of correcting the measurements has been devised. The measurements obtained are shown to explain a discrepancy hitherto observed between experimentally obtained and calculated flutter speeds.
