Determination of the Thermodynamic Properties of Ionized Species.

Abstract

The heat of formation and electron affinity for several negative ions which may be present in rocket exhausts have been determined. A molecular flow effusion-mass spectrometric technique was employed in obtaining these data for the following species: BO(-), BO2(-), BF2(-), BF4(-), BF2(-), BF2O, AlO(-), AlO2(-), AlF2(-), AlF4(-), AlF2O(-), AlF2O.
