Maneuvering of Space Vehicles,

Abstract

The book discusses the theoretical bases and the methods for calculating the maneuver trajectory of a space vehicle when accomplishing orbital rendezvous operations, during flight to and landing on the Moon, during interplanetary flight and during the descent to the Earth. It examines the equations of the movement of a space vehicle, methods of changing the parameters of orbital motion under pulse and continuous thrust, and also the possible principles of construction of systems for controlling the descent trajectory of the space vehicle. The book gives methods for measuring the parameters of trajectories and the method of differential correction for determining the size of the correcting pulses. (Author)
