Cost-Effectiveness Evaluation of Alternative Airlift Containers and Concepts in Air Logistics Systems,

Abstract

The objectives of the study were the following: To conduct a parametric analysis on the effects of alternative unitization shipping modules (containers and 463L pallet) on alternative air logistics distribution systems when used to meet the resupply requirements of deployed Army forces; To develop an analytical model for the conduct of the above parametric analyses; To emphasize maximum illumination rather than specific container procurement requirements.
