The Urethane-Alcohol Reaction.

Abstract

The formation of polyurethanes from blocked isocyanates involves a transesterification reaction, the mechanism(s) of which is not well understood. A model of this transesterification reactions, namely the reaction of aryl carbanilates with alcohols was studied.
