Speech Synthesis,

Abstract

It is shown that the speech synthesizer can be used as a standard sound generator for linguistic studies and for solving the problem of automatic recognition of speech sounds, in a band width compression system, as a computer output device for 'man machine' communication. The article presents a review of researches in the sphere of speech synthesis and of some results obtained. (Author)
