The Hardening of the Weld Joints from Titanium Alloys,

Abstract

Tests of joints welded from titanium alloy OT4 by four welding techniques and subjected to shot-peening established that the hardening by shot-peening considerably raises the fatigue strength of the weld seam, bringing it near the strength of the parent meal.
