Carborane Polymers.

Abstract

Examples of the numerous types of carborane polymers which have been prepared are briefly reviewed as the background upon which more recent polymer progress has been achieved. The new field of C2B5H7-based polymers which are coming now into commercial availability is also covered. Some of these new carborane siloxane polymers are being tested as the liquid phase in various gas chromatographic applications. After controlled crosslinking at 400 C there is much less column bleed at temperatures below 375 C than has heretofore been observed with other liquid phases. (P.P.-PL)
