Formulation of Two-Dimensional and Axisymmetric Problems for an Elastic Half-Space.

Abstract

Interrelationships are developed between various formulations of the equations relating stresses and displacements for an elastic half-space. There is a parallelism between the axisymmetric and two-dimensional cases. (Author)
