The YaMZ Family of Standardized Engines (Semeistvo Unifitsirovannykh Dvigatelei YaMz),

Abstract

The report compares the basic characteristics of several members of this family of diesel engines with the characteristics of comparable models produced by a number of Western firms. Emphasis is also placed on the high degree of parts interchangeability and standardization. The design improvement program is mentioned briefly. (Author)
