Special Issue on Superconductivity.
Abstract
The article consists of the introduction to a conference held at Smolenice, Czechoslovakia 23-27 June 1969 sponsored by the Electrotechnical Institute of the Slovak Academy of Sciences. The following topics were discussed: theory of superconductivity, superconducting magnets, electrical machines and cables and other applications. Nineteen papers were presented, of which seventeen are published in full in the present proceedings, and two as abstracts only.
