Monitor Program System for the MINSK-22 Computer,m

Abstract

The aim of monitor program systems in the automation of machine handling is to ensure continuous operation, i.e. to create the possibility of a considerably more effective utilization of the computer. In this paper the working principle of the MIMO system developed in the Computer Center in the Automation Research Institute of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences is described. The organization of the system is discussed in detail. The experiences of operation are summarized, and on this basis some economic and administrative advantages of the system are shown. Questions of programming connected with the use of the MIMO system are discussed. The use of routines permitting immediate access to the computer and the interrupted running of the programs is described. (Author)
