Simulated Elevation System, Powder Gymnasticator, for M140 Gun Mount.

Abstract

The object of the program was to simulate live firing over a range of 0-35 elevation on the powder gymnasticator used for testing the M140 Gun Mount, M60Al Tank. The results of the program demonstrated that a system capable of closely simulating elevated firing was achieved and this sytem has the capability of being used for proof accepting the M140 gun mount and other similar mounts.
