Stability Considerations for a Hotwire Initiator Model.

Abstract

A finite difference scheme used to approximate the heat conduction equations of an electrically actuated initiator is examined. The stability of the scheme is found to be a function of the initiator parameters and the time and spatial step sizes. (Author)
