The Chesapeake Bay Institute Wave Follower--Part II.

Abstract

An electrohydraulic wave follower has been designed and laboratory tested. The instrument holds a hot-film or hot-wire anemometer probe at various distances (fixed or variable) above and close to the moving sea surface. The report summarizes two field trips made in 1969 to check its mechanical and electrical performance and to obtain wind and wave records. (Author)
