Abstract

Gaming and game theory are two extremely different yet highly intertwined disciplines. Many practitioners are well acquinted with one of these subjects but not the other. Their interrelationship is subtle and important, and a knowledge of both can easily aid work in either. A third topic that is often mentioned in discussions of gaming is simulation. This article deals with gaming and game theory. However, in order to avoid the confusion that frequently exists, all three subjects are defined and the relationship among them is indicated. (Author)
