A Replication of Infectious Viral Ribonucleic Acid in Isolated Mitochondrias. Report II. A Replication of Viral Ribonucleic Acid in Mitochondrias and a Characteristic of the End Product,

Abstract

It was determined that the replication of viral infectious RNA in isolated mitochondrias is possible. An effective concentration of actinomycin D facilitated the detection of the synthesis of virus-specific RNA: 40S corresponding to virion, heterogenous area of 26-20S RNA with RNA-ase-resistant component in the area of 20S which is supposed to be a replicative form. The dynamics of the synthesis of virus-specific RNA in mitochondria and the correlation of this process with the growth of the infectious product have been studied. (Author)
