Radiation and Related Processes in Plasmas.

Abstract

The paper is concerned with radiation and related processes in plasmas, including single particle and collective emission processes and the reaction of these processes on the particle distribution function to produce acceleration and diffusion. The principal objective is the study of radiation processes occuring in geophysical, interplanetary and astrophysical plasmas. A secondary objective is the study of various mathematical approaches which have been proposed for the study of radiation, with the aim of evaluating and comparing these methods. (Author)
