Digital Processing of IR Scanner Video.

Abstract

Infrared line scan video signals were digitized and used in computer processing to determine whether activity changes in the imaged area could be detected. Statistical parameters of the distribution of signal amplitudes within a specific target area were calculated for several types of cultural features, including simulation of activity changes. The experiments showed the feasibility of detecting changes in activity levels using such statistical processes. (Author)
