Polymer Adsorption.

Abstract

The report summarizes the results of a fundamental study of the interaction of polymers with surfaces. This study has been confined to an investigation of the adsorption of polymer molecules with one of the principal objectives being a determination of the confromation of the adsorbed molecules. It is believed that this information is of fundamental importance to problems in adhesion, protective coatings on metal and composites. In all these areas, the interaction between a polymer molecule and a surface such as a metal, plastic, etc., is critical. (Author)
