Transport and Optical Properties of Low Mobility Solids.

Abstract

The work has been an integrated experimental and theoretical investigation of various basic properties of low mobility solids. Some 29 unclassified scientific papers were sponsored by this grant. Experimental work was done on rare earth chalcogenides, transition metal oxides and sulfides. Theoretical efforts were divided between interpreting experimental results and independent work on energy transfer mechanisms, magnetic interactions and energy band calculations in solids. (Author)
