International Symposium on Molecular Beams, (3rd)Cannes, 29 June-2 July 1971.

Abstract

The report discusses the papers given at the third of a series of biennial symposia organized by the International Committee on Molecular Beams. The scope of the Symposium covered techniques and molecular beams instrumentation, with particular emphasis on nozzle beams, charge exchange beams, universal detectors, and time-of-flight measurements as well as experimental and theoretical studies of beam interactions with solids and elastic, inelastic and reactive collisions between molecules. Applications to atomic and nuclear physics were specifically excluded. about 40 papers originating in six US and about 30 European laboratories were presented. (Author)
