Formation of Nanosecond Pulses of High Voltage

Abstract

The document is devoted to the design and construction of devices producing pulses lasting from one to hundreds of nanoseconds of voltage ranging up to 1000 kV. A survey is given of the existing methods for producing short high-voltage pulses. Various types of circuitry for generators of high-voltage nanosecond pulses are discussed. An analysis is given of transient processes within the framework of equivalent circuits. Engineering calculations are included for the formative elements of various types of generators. Consideration is given to circuits correcting pulse waveforms, and also to circuits used to measure pulse parameters.
