Multiple Ionization in Powerful Shock Wave,

Abstract

The system of equations is formulated and numerically solved for the case of repeated ionization in a powerful shock wave propagating in weakly ionized hydrogen with insignificant admixtures of other elements. Parameters of the gas state are taken from other works where the structure of such a shock wave is examined taking into account de-excitation. Curves of the process of multiple ionization are given, and results of the calculation are discussed. (Author)
