The Electromagnetic Field of a Grounded Electric Dipole and a Straight Cable above a Horizontally-Layered Medium.

Abstract

The paper calculates the electromagnetic fields of a grounded horizontal electric dipole and rectangular cable of finite length, supplied with a-c current of any frequency and situated at the ground air interface, the lower half space being horizontally stratified. The method used can be generalized for the case where the source is situated at any boundary or in any of the layers of the half space or in the air. (Author)
