Certain Characteristics of Antibody Production Caused by Successive Introduction by Antigens Over Extended Periods,
Abstract
In successive immunization, a deep immunological restructuring of the organism occurs, leading to inhibition of the production of antibodies specific to introduced antigen and the appearance of antibodies which react to homologous and isologous tissues. The formation of antitissual antibodies in the case of successive immunization is the result net of tissue destruction, but of qualitative dislocations in the process of immunogenesis.
