A Study of New Image Processing Techniques,

Abstract

The report consists of two independent parts. The first part describes a set of computer programs designed to synthesize a class of shapes that depend on given contextual information -- specifically, the shapes assumed by water as it covers or flows over a given piece of terrain. The second part of the report contains updated information regarding the PAX II picture processing programming system in its implementation on the Univac 1108 installation at the University of Maryland.
