Postattack Recovery and Operation Parameters Affecting Debris Estimation Procedures.

Abstract

Predicted and observed information requirements with respect to debris were evaluated for the various elements of the civil defense system. It was found that many elements (e.g., firefighting, welfare, etc.) express moderate to high requirements, for both predicted and observed information. Three functional areas affected by the presence of debris were derived through functional analysis of the 22 elements comprising the civil defense system. It was concluded that the existing debris prediction method is adequate for designing a debris removal system. (Author)
