Chemical Laser Research.

Abstract

The purpose of this program was to conduct theoretical and experimental research for the development of new chemical lasers. Initial emphasis was on the pumping of hydrogen cyanide by the transfer of vibrational energy from hydrogen fluoride produced by burning hydrogen in fluorine. A second reaction that was studied involved the reaction of hydrogen with ozone to produce vibrationally excited hydroxyl radicals. (Author)
