Hydromagnetic Wave-Particle Beam Interactions.

Abstract

Two investigations are described in the report. The first concerns the interaction of an electron beam with the plasma formed by its interaction with a neutral gas. Beam loss and plasma column instabilities were studied. The second concerns transport properties in a plasma column subject to drift wave instabilities. A list of publications resulting from this research is provided. (Author)
