Wear of Carbon Brushes of Electric Machines,

Abstract

General expressions relating to the wear of carbon brushes for rotating electric machines are defined and conclusions from the measurement of their wear are discussed. The current load of the brushes and the season of the year appear to be the most important influences. (Author)
