Electronic Digital Computers and the Effectivenesses of Their Application,

Abstract

The paper contains a discussion of the effectiveness of using digital computers in geodesy. It is pointed out that almost all geodetic enterprises and institutions use digital computers to one extent or another to process the results of field measurements, for adjustment of graticules and in solving economic and other problems. However, it is not economically expedient to solve engineering economic and geodetic problems under all conditions and on all digital computers. (Author)
