Kerr Cell for the High-Speed Modulation of a Laser Emission,

Abstract

A method of obtaining ultrashort light pulses is described. A description of the Kerr cell used is described. A ruby laser emission of 4 x 10 to the -10th sec was used in a multiframe circuit in shadow photography to analyze the shock wave appearing during the expansion of the laser flame. (Author)
