Abstract

The document is concerned with the thesis that within Logistics, there is no more basic function than packaging. Packaging is important because packaging expertise is required throughout the life cycle of every item, beginning with procurement and containing through transportation, warehousing, long-term storage, environmental protection, and recycling of reparable items from the field. Packaging solutions are the mission and the reason for existence of the Air Force Packaging Evaluation Agency. The 1971 Annual Report reflects progress made.
