Electromagnetic Pulse Sounding for Geological Surveying with Application in Rock Mechanics and Rapid Excavation Program

Abstract

Analytical results on the scattering by various planar and spherical concuctivity contrasts and on design data for an electromagnetic pulse sounding probe are described and illustrated. A first generation version of the probe is given and initial measured data demonstrating certain features of the probe are presented.
