Inelastic Collision between Molecular Systems (Neutral and/or Ionized) with Relation to Upper Atmospheric Phenomena.

Abstract

The theoretical study of inelastic collisions of atoms, molecules, and molecular ions has been carried out to determine transition probabiliites among vibrational and rotational energy states. New methods have been developed and existing techniques have been refined to provide both a quantitative and a qualitative interpretation of the detailed mechanisms and dynamics of molecular collisions.
