Conference on Industrial Innovation through Contract Research, 15-16 April 1971 - University of Newcastle upon Tyne.

Abstract

The meeting was comprised of four sessions devoted to American Scene; European Scene; Contract Research in the U.K.; and Contract Research and Regional Development. Details were given of the history and mode of operation of various R and D organizations in the US and abroad. The role of 'entrepeneurship' was also discussed in this regard. In addition the role of the research park came in for examination. (Author)
