Production Method of Refined Mineral Oils and Fuels.
Abstract
A new production method of mineral oils and fuels for high compression gas engines has been discovered. The product has improved properties due to the introduction of many funtional, refined supplements in the form of naphtenic carbohydrates which are added to the oils and fuels. In the method reported in the Polish patent, the initial supplement consists of aromatic naphthenic carbohydrates from the oil fraction of paraffin oils. It is selectively distilled and refined and then first treated at a temperature of 20-30C and later on at a temperature of 50-70C with the addition of 25-50% (weight) of concentrated nitric acid, 20-60% (weight) of concentrated sulfuric acid and 15-30% (weight) of water. With this method, 0.01 - 5.00% of the compound produced is added to mineral oil at a temperature of 50-80C or to high compression engines and gasoline engines at a temperature of 20-30C.
