Some Characteristics of Wind Waves in the Deep and Shallow Waters of a Bay,

Abstract

The results of measuring the elements of wind waves and the wave pressure caused by them at sub-surface levels in both the deep and shallow waters of a bay are examined. The experimental distribution of wave heights and periods is compared with the generalized distribution function. The transformation of the wind wave spectrum with depth and in the passing of waves from deep to shallow water is analyzed. (Author)
