NRL Bearing Lubrication Process Development Study.

Abstract

The report describes a program to develop a method of loading KG-80 lubricant into synthane phenolic retainers for gyro spinmotor ball bearing applications. The process and lubricant in conjunction with barrier antimigration film was evaluated for overall motor stability and life capability. The test program is part of an overall NRL objective to develop a lubricant system which can support the needs of the inertial components industry. (Author)
