Abstract
The research briefly reported concentrates in three areas: The investigation of ion implantation and valence variation as surface compression strengthening techniques; The completion of structural studies on vitreous SiO2 and a continuation of x-ray and neutron diffraction measurements on GeO2 and As2S3; and Computer analysis of fracture in a two dimensional A2B3 disordered network.
