Cylindrical Regenerative Fuel Cell Evaluation.

Abstract

An experimental test evaluation was conducted of 20 cylindrical regenerative hydrogen-oxygen fuel cells manufactured by Electro-Optical Systmes, Inc. The cells were operated in two test ovens controlled to maintain temperatures at 125F and 150F and were subjected to representative synchronous orbit load profiles, that is, charge of 22.8 hours and discharge for 1.2 hours. The cells were charged in series at constant current with termination of charge indipendently controlled by actuation of a pressure switch located on each cell. (Author)
