Evaluation of Slot Line Bends at S-Band Frequencies.
Abstract
In order to utilize the slot-transmission-line in microwave integrated circuit applications, a basic knowledge concerning the performance of various bends is necessary to implement practical circuit configurations. The report presents experimental data concerning the input impedance of several slot line bends measured in the 2 - 4 GHz frequency range. The slot line circuits were fabricated on 0.063 inch thick, D-16 dielectric substrate metallized with aluminum tape. Results indicate that slot line bends can be easily produced which are well matched (i.e., VSWR<1.5) to 50 ohms over bandwidths approaching one-half octave. (Author)
