Free Vibrations of Unidirectional Fiber Reinforced Composite Plates.

Abstract

A dynamical theory of plates based on the effective stiffness theory of fiber reinforced composites is developed. Both extensional and flexural vibrations are considered, and the dispersion relations appropriate to each are obtained. It was found that for flexural vibrations, an additional branch of the frequency spectrum arises. (Author-PL)
