An Improved Reaerosolization Test Device: Its Design, Operation and Capabilities

Abstract

The purpose of the report is to describe the design, operation, and capabilities of an improved laboratory test device that is intended to simulate the reaerosolization of a powder in the field. The improved apparatus was tested with various CS2, resorcinol, and para-aminobenzoic acid powders (particle sizes between 2 and 15 microns MMD) at a range of airflow rates and was found to give a linear relationship between airflow rates and percent reaerosolization.
