Infectious and Communicable Diseases Affecting Populations Introduced into Endemic Areas

Abstract

The medical problems which are being studied include the etiologies of diarrheal diseases in the tropics, pathogenesis of amebic lesions, etiology of infectious hepatitis, biological control of Chagas' disease vectors, reconnaissance for a possible Venezuelan equine encephalitis enzootic focus in the Mississippi Delta region, and taxonomy, distribution, and ecology of phlebotomine flies in Bolivia and of black flies in Costa Rica.
