About the Anomaly of Electroconductivity at the Boundary of the Earth's Crust - Mantle in the Irkutsk Amphitheatre,

Abstract

By the analysis of magnetiotelluric sounding (MTS) in Irkutsk amphitheatre new data on the layer of high electric conductivity on the depth about 40 km are obtained. The general distribution of this layer within the amphitheatre and coincidence of its depth with the earth's crust thickness on the seismology and gravitmetry data suggest this anomaly of high electric conductivity to be coincident with the discontinuity earth's crust - mantle.
