Studies of Magnetic Properties in Rare Earth Alloys at Cryogenic Temperatures.

Abstract

A Mossbauer effect source of 161Dy was prepared in a matrix of Gd203 for use in magnetic rare earth alloys studies at cryogenic temperatures. A high velocity drive (plus or minue 25 cm/sec) has been assembled for use in measuring resonant absorption in 161Dy. Data on gamma-ray spectra for the 161Dy source are presented. (Author)
