A Literature Survey of the Problem of Aircraft Spins.

Abstract

The prediction of aircraft spin characteristics has defied complete scientific analysis. There are, however, a number of research techniques which have been utilized in attempts to understand the mechanism of spin. This paper presents a survey of the literature dealing with spin research and its application to a wide variety of aircraft designs over the period 1916 to 1971. (Author)
