Procedure for Radiographic Study of Residual Stress in Coarse-Grained AL4 Alloys,
Abstract
A procedure was devlopoed for radiographic determination of residual stresses on coarse-grained cast specimens. Measurements made os specimens subjected to different heat-treatment procedures showed that the accuracy of the method is fully adequate for analysis of the influence of heat treatment on the magnitude of residual stresses.
